The fabrication department of Bernazzoli is dedicated to the production of complex steel structures and medium-heavy fabrication components. Thanks to direct integration with the cutting departments, bending and CNC machining operations, we can manage every phase of the process in-house: from sheet metal preparation to welded construction, all the way to the mechanical finishing of the component.

The experience of our staff and strict compliance with technical standards ensure the structural quality of every element, making us a reliable partner for high-demand industrial applications.

Welding activities are managed according to qualified procedures (WPS) and validated through WPQR (Welding Procedure Qualification Record), ensuring control, repeatability, and compliance with applicable technical standards.

Our production department is equipped to process a wide range of metal materials, from thick structural steels to lightweight aluminum alloys. Thanks to the diversification of our in-house departments and the availability of multiple technologies (fiber laser cutting, waterjet, punching, CNC bending), we can choose the most suitable process for each material, preserving its mechanical properties and ensuring maximum dimensional accuracy.

Welding processes and personnel qualifications

The quality of joints is a crucial element in metal fabrication. For this reason, we work exclusively with qualified welders and certified procedures.


Welding procedures (WPS – Welding Procedure Specification) define in detail parameters, materials and operating techniques for each specific task, ensuring quality and repeatability of the process.

The qualification of procedures takes place through WPQR (Welding Procedure Qualification Record), which certifies the validity of the process according to tests and regulatory inspections.

Certification operators
All our welders are qualified according to the standard ISO 9606-1, an essential requirement for structural applications and components intended for harsh environments or high mechanical stress.

The qualification of welding processes and the certification of welders ensure that every operation complies with recognized regulatory standards, including UNI EN ISO 15614-1.
